The Dark Past was a Dark Ages: Vampire game originally run by Joaquin, Adam E. and Josh Ro. in 2004. In its second conception in 2006, Joaquin and Max took the helm. Although the storytellers and players put a great deal of effort into this game, some players found the setting difficult to interact with. A core of loyal players encouraged a return with their enthusiasm for the rich environment; one unidentified source claimed on this wiki that "TDP also ate other LARPs for breakfast." Owing partially to this interest in the game, Joaquin has decided to bring it back for a third run, tentatively scheduled for a March, 2010 start date. He has said that "a revised, improved and expanded player packet will soon be made available, with a website and forum to follow" (January, 2010).

Setting
The Dark Past begins in the year 1129 in the German city of Magdeburg, on the northeastern frontier of the Holy Roman Empire. Much more information will be revealed shortly.
