Adam Blackman started LARPing with Underground Puppeteers, eventually becoming a narrator for that game. He became the Storyteller for Second Progeny about eighteen months into its durance, and carried that game through the end of its run. He subsequently founded Book of Dreams and the short-lived games Memento Mori and Sticks and Stones.
Adam has cited the works of Neil Gaiman and Joss Whedon as having strong influence on his storytelling. So everyone who's ever complained about having a big showdown with the Big Bad about every four to six months: blame Joss. Yeah, it was sometimes cheesy, but it got everyone involved, which was always his biggest concern: that people enjoy his games.
He learned to be tremendously loud by shouting to be heard over an unruly young teenage playerbase. It's trained him well in his most intense and demanding role to date: stay-at-home dad and sound-based pokemon.
