Lost in the Great Battle

  • SpinDoctor Murphy, Sept Alpha -- Athro Glasswalker Homid Galliard

‘The Doctor’ had a way with words and a voice somewhere between butter and black coffee. His radio show was the most popular thing on air within the city limits, and under his leadership the caern teched up it’s defenses and reached out to guide and protect the community around them. He was more of a talker than a fighter, but when the time came he didn’t hesitate.

  • Bullshit Alice, aka 'Killmaim Bloodgore', Sept Warder -- Adren Bonegnawer Homid Ragabash

They say old Alice sought her position first as a joke, but it was Murphy who got the last laugh. She never stopped complaining, but her term saw the bawn untroubled by the flock and every threat met quickly and decisively. To this day the local vagrants won’t set foot on sept turf for the fearful rumors of drug lord dens, FBI hideouts, or the mysterious slasher known only as Stabby Joe...

  • Samantha Leafcatcher, Master of the Rite -- Elder Uktena Homid Theurge

The young ones used to think Sam was older than the caern itself, but she would just use that to catch them off guard. She had a way of seeing straight through things, and then turning them on their heads. ‘Eccentric’ was the most polite way of putting it, but she seemed to know everything there was to know about the spirits of the region, and then some. The caern will always remember her sacrifice.

  • Jack Magpie Nest-of-Memories, Sept Lorekeeper -- Elder Uktena Homid Galliard

Leafcatcher’s brother was as old as she was, quite were she was loud, reserved where she was frank, but they still found plenty to talk about, complaining about the youngsters. His masterwork was the caern ‘library’ a compilation of scraps of history in every form from stone carvings to floppy disks. He joined his sister in death, and in glory.

  • Dorian One-Hand, Master of the Challenge -- Adren Child of Gaia Homid Ahroun.

The grandson of Bends-the-Oak, Dorian was never given to the boasting so loved by many ahroun, but other tongues found plenty to boast of in his deeds. His quietness belied great passion. Much was expected of him, had battle not claimed him so young.

  • Nicole Paints-the-River-Red -- Adren Wendigo Homid Ahroun

Nicole held no sept position, but all expected it was only a matter of time. Her feats of prowess marked her a prodigal warrior, and those who knew her well enough to get past her hard exterior manner knew her for a true comrade and a woman of great honor. Her stories will be remembered, and one can only guess what more she might have achieved, given the chance. She died well.

Heroes of the More Distant Past

  • Nathan Bends-The-Oak -- Elder Child of Gaia Homid Ahroun

Called the 'First alpha', by many, he was rather the first to bring the Sept of the Open Hand independence, and peace. His leadership ended a history of strife both in the city and the caern, and his memory is honored as a both a great diplomat, and a great warrior.

  • “Death Nell” aka Prey’s-Dying-Whisper -- Elder Black Fury Lupus Ahroun

Bends-The-Oak’s packmate and first Beta, ‘Black Nell’ is remembered more than anything for being banished from the sept for reasons Nathan refused to explain to his dying day. None the less, the record of her service to the caern was fierce and staunch, and the rumors of her deeds after departing were the sort to do the sept proud...And she seems not to be as dead as most assumed. She has claimed the state park immediately North of the city as her territory, sometimes calls for help defending it in return for her assistance during the latter days of the feud, and seems to accept visitors(grudgingly)
